OSACA is a joint European initiative which aims to improve the competitiveness of the manufacturers of machine tools and control systems in the world market. The main goal of the project is to specify a system architecture for open control systems which is manufacturer independent.

The achievements of the OSACA project will reduce the time to market for new products as well as increasing the flexibility of customised control systems and reducing the cost of development, maintenance, training and writing of documentation.
